Rural Empowerment & Welfare Association
REWAT is a Not-for-Profit Organization, registered under Voluntary Social Welfare Agencies (Registration & Control) Ordinance, 1961 with Social Welfare Department, Government of Sindh, at Thatta, Sindh. The sole purpose of operation of REWAT is to extend management support for the selected, non-performing public schools in Thatta District Sindh.
REWAT with the help of its partner organizations adopts public schools under the “Adopt A School Program” of Sindh Education Foundation, transforming the normally dilapidated structures into a modern purpose-built campus. The idea of this transformation is to make the school environment appealing for the children to make them feel happy and motivated in being part of the school community.
Besides infrastructure upgrade, REWAT endeavors to fill all missing gaps and run public schools at a standard that is equally competitive to the ordinary private schools and charge No Fees from students.
REWAT’s patrons use their personal networking within family, and larger communities to meet necessary requirements of the students such as uniform, stationary, IT equipment, library books, and occasional nutritional support.
